    Ever since I got the passport iv been using bbm without any problem, now its saying I need data plan to contact my provider????
    what kind of data plan I need? Thx

    Off wifi yes you do need a data plan

    Its not working on wifi and I have 6gb of data, but its asking for data plan! Is there another data plan??

    No there is no other data plan you seem to but having a legit issue. Have you updated it to the latest version, done a reset etc.

    Also are you connected to BlackBerry services (is the BlackBerry symbol visable beside the network connection)

    No. There is no other data plan. Check you BBM settings.

    Check with your carrier. Some carriers still need to do something on your account so you get access to the BlackBerry network. It could be as simple as the new OS update not setup on their system yet. This happened in the past when people in countries that are not on the latest OS.

    How can I check my bbm settings? As soon as I open the app is tells me the msg and theres only exit.
    I live in canada im with telus. I did turn off the phone and turn back on same thing.
