Is it a clue that it is a worthless gadget?
I noticed (especially while editing pre-existing texts) that when I begin to delete some words, the cursor jumps in middle of another paragraph and the deleting process destroys my writing.
When I notice it, I just close the text without saving and re edit. But it is a loss of time and not productive.
I also noticed that I only used the swipe-down move in the first weeks because it is new. Now I always use the [@123] key to get my special chatacters.
Word prediction... I only use it to controle orthorgraphy especially when I write in a foreign language. I can copy the word or tap on it... no need to swipe.

So I realised that this feature is not necessary for me and turned it off.
Like I locked the screen rotation some months ago and never used Blend.

    Anyone else?

I leave mine on. Coming from a Z30, having the swipe features available, while also having a physical keyboard, is quite enjoyable.

Different people different usage and habits. I use the capacitive keyboard a lot. Flicking to pull up the numeric/symbol VKB and also flicking to auto complete a word. I also use it to navigate my home screen, scroll thru documents and web pages, pinch to zoom, etc. Scrolling while reading has been very intuitive for me as my fingers doesn't have to go to the screen while reading thus making my reading experience more pleasurable.

Oh and by the way, I use Blend daily paired with my Surface Pro. This is one feature has already spoiled me.

I didn't know that the capacitive keyboard could be turned off. It's good that turning off the capacitive function worked better for you. However, I don't think I would ever consider turning mine off since I find the capacitive keyboard to be quite useful.

Agreed!!! Some people just can't seem to get use to the flick, tap and swipe motion needed to effectively use bbos10.

I have no problems whatsoever with the touch features of the Passport keyboard, works great and causes no problems for me whatsoever. It is the best keyboard BlackBerry has ever built. The Passport design is my favorite of all the BlackBerry's. For me, everything about the Passport is perfect, it's an ideal device.

Me also. I had one for a minute the flick and delete works. If you give it a big swipe, it swipes it all. You have to be precise but it comes.

    Kept the keyboard on.
But like you mentioned, locked the screen rotation within the first week of ownership. What's the point of a rotating screen, when the screens square. Lol

I am actually with the OP, although I keep leaving the capacitive feature on for now. Even back with the original Passport, I sometimes got annoyed by weird behaviour of the keyboard. Sometimes the special character (swipe down) get pulled up for no reason, because I clearly didn't swipe down on purpose. Sometimes the cursor appears although I didn't activate it. Such things can mess up a complete text, if you don't notice it immediately.
My SE Passport seems to be a bit better in this regard.

I also noticed the capacitive function doesn't always work, for example I can't scroll left and right on my homescreen at the moment. Same thing happened yesterday for whatever reason. It started working again later, again for whatever reason.

I keep the rotation on because sometimes I like to turn the phone when browsing to scroll up with the keyboard on the right. I feel I can scroll more with the keyboard vertical than horizontal.

I love the touch features. But I am also glad it can be turned off. Why? Because it isn't an essential feature and if some people prefer it off, why not let them disable it?
The more settings we can customize, the better.

I don't use mine for typing, I leave it on so I can scroll. On some websites, it's hard to scroll with the touchscreen without accidentally triggering a link.
