The retailer where I bought my Z30 also sells the Passport and offers an additional year of warranty + coverage for accidental damage (except water damage) for only $31. Just saying.

No don't have insurance and it's only really small I figure I'm going to pick up some dents and scratches over time and phone is big enough without a case so at least it's out of the way

Post #2 is a good option. Being able to repair my own Blackberrys is another favored point of these devices. However, if that solution is not preferred, then I'd buy a new one and sell the other on ebay and take the money hit. With new devices I go straight from the box to Ghost Armor, and then with maximum care get it transported home like a newborn. In this case after the Ghost Armor curing period the Passport was placed into the StilGut case (I had the OEM case, but did not use it). I ordered the Vaja case and await its arrival. With a q10 device, I go through the Ghost Armor ritual, but carry the device with an OEM holster, but no protective case.
