Immediately return it. Or bring it to the service center. I'd return it if I were you.

I would guess you have tried soft and hard reset by now right?

What if you press the "u" key prolonged? Also, do you have a device password installed?

Try resetting with volume up and down buttons pressed and then top button, all three maintained pressed untill the BlackBerry logo comes up..?

hope you sort this out man...

is the lock symbol red colour or is this due to the pic??

If you press the U prolonged maybe it takes you to the password entry screen?

Also, I would try taking out the sim (some carriers load sim on the start with s**** sometimes?) and then perform a hard reset. Also the micro sd if encrypted try taking it out and hard reset to see what happens?

Hold power. Let it switch off. Give it a few minutes to cool down. Power back up. Wait a few minutes for picture password and OS services to load properly before attempting to log in and then try. Feel free to report back.

After almost grabbing a sledgehammer and breaking my passport, I decided to give it one more try! I removed the SD card and SIM Card and did a hard press reset and shockingly the password screen popped up and I was able to unlocked my phone.. the reason for my passport acting this way is still unknown but once unlocked I went directly to settings and turn off the Password..

This is an odd case. First time hearing this. What OS version are you on for reference?

This happen to me a few time already, including this morning when the screen for entering password came up but both keyboard and number row did not react. A hard reset sorted it out.
Hard reset seems to become the magical solution for blackberry.

I think it depends on the SIM card settings that are being setup on restart and depend on carrier. It might have "messed up" with the phone password somehow. I had a similar case (which would get stuck on loading screen logo with 100% but not with password pop up, this is why I proposed taking the sim out to you.

Glad it worked out and you are home free my friend!!!! :d

PS: did you have your micro sd encrypted? (Just for general knowledge).

Happened also to my device more than 4x now.
The small password screen and keyboard just wont show up thus unable to enter the password.
What I usually do is restart the device.
    I'm on OS version

I had the same problem was using a SanDisk extreme SD but swapped it out and haven't had the issue since.. not sure why either, since the SD card worked fine in my Z30..?
