Can I ask the OP something? I mean this as no disrespect.

You went through all that to prove that BlackBerry has this text message problem, yet you have used a BlackBerry from at least 2012 and have used it all the way to 2017.

If this was such a big problem for you, why do you still use a BlackBerry??

Because I love BlackBerry and their devices, but this sort of trouble shouldn't be a thing. It's deeply disappointing that they dropped support and development of a phone system that could really shine, more than it does now.

And of course Blend stopped working from every PC I have it installed on. Therefore I can't copy and paste the chat thread I need. Been trying all weekend and just tried now at work. ******* garbage OS.

And yes, I tried copying the thread directly from the phone but it doesn't copy or paste.

Nvbhdeakljh cvdoklejVKds **** I hate this phone. Monday morning I've got business to handle and my damn text hub decides to lockup. Been fine no issues all damn weekend, other than being unable to backup my chat threads.

Now my phone is chewing through battery before my eyes and where the SIM card or led light is is getting burning hot.

Literally since my very last message on here I've gone from 92% battery to 89% battery remaining. I'm usually in the 90s until eleven am.

Might be time to give up the OS OP. It seems it's giving you nothing but problems.

It was too late by time you sent this, I went on a mass deleting spree of text threads since the phone was going haywire. So that's fixed, for now.

And ever since Yahoo forced me to update my pw, it no longer authenticates to my BlackBerry. AWESOME. Another reason to ditch this ****ty os.

Yeah I think it's time to move on OP.. Sounds like you have nothing but problems.. Mine have been rock solid so not sure why you have all these issues...

Best of luck with whatever you decide..

Eventually, we must ALL move on. BlackBerry 10 is absolutely gone and never returning. Soon as the KeyONE is released its mine.

    OP:
I used a back up solution that totally gooched my text message threads. Avoid that... I'll look at which it was. It was a disater. Multiple copies of photos... sometimes up to 12! I think it was SMS Backup or Backup Pro... can't recall.

That backup solution, and only that backup solution ruined my text threads. Ever done such a backup? After my experience, I couldn't send pics in text messages... I just got a "message failure" message. Had to DELETE THE CONTACT and threads to resolve it. A mess. Not sure if you have anything similar.

By the way: keeping "critical information" in a text thread doesn't sound like a sound plan.

I have indeed used SMS backup as a suggestion a long, long time ago. I forget which part that was supposed to help with, I think saving my text convos to then reimport into a fresh BlackBerry os copy? That was at least 1-2 BlackBerry phones ago though I think

Copy the chat and paste it into Docs to Go. Then email the thread to yourself.
That should button it up so it's not needling you.

Tried that, and 50% of the time it wouldn't copy, and then wouldn't illuminate the paste button.. and the other 50% of the time where it WOULD let me copy/paste, it sat there for up to 20 mins in docs to go and just spun and wouldn't actually paste the thread

I'm just SO sick of the petty bull**** problems of BlackBerry. The text messaging situation has me fired up... AGAIN. Text hub is lagging, freezing, won't send messages etc. Iphones have 5 year old text conversations with NO problems and I can't have a damn five month old text conversation without my ******** BlackBerry os going nuts. ****s for the birds. Bring on the Mercury.

    Posted via CB10 Passport
I have not had any problem like this. I have some very old texts. Passport 3 years old now! No hub flickering with the new update either. Weird. Wonder what is really causing this problem.
