    I purchased bbpassport few days back. connected to wifi and configured my mail. when i was out today, i kept the device in my pocket, but due to some reason it took the incorrect passwords few times. now when I m providing the correct password, it wont do anything. it only says "incorrect password (6/10)"can anyone help to sort this out?

    I believe at that point you're supposed to type 'blackberry' to continue?

    Correct. It flat out asks you to type that in.

    That's if you want to wipe your device.... NOT to recover or change your password.

    The instructions I posted were a copy/paste off the manual. Blackberry's words not mine!

    The beauty of it is that the device is connected to our BBM user ID thus preventing unauthorised access
