I doubt you can now. The Amazon app store is integrated into the OS like BBM. Not much you can do to stop it.
That would be my GUESS only. Hopefully someone has a better idea.
What exactly do you wanna block shared files? Then you won't be able to install apps and if you're trying to block location then it won't work either because it allows certain apps to be downloaded only from certain locations and those are the only permissions it has so I don't see how it could help to block any of the permissions

It's an android ported app. You can't edit the permissions on most all ported apps. Like previously mentioned the app is built into the OS. If you want to kill the process that runs in the background for the amazon app download task manager from BlackBerry world.

I use that sometimes when closing android apps that don't completely close in the background. Only time amazon is running for me is when I'm using it or if I'm using an app I downloaded from amazon.

I find that some of the apps don't want to stay closed. Is there anyway to insure that they don't reopen? For example CM Cleaner, Battery Doctor....

If they are android apps try closing them from the device manager, otherwise not really a way to shut them off permanently, I believe the android player keeps them open to allow for a faster boot the next time you open them

If anyone else is looking to do this I found a solution.
Download Adroid Settings and in the Apps section you can force closed any android app that's running. In the BlackBerry device manager it won't close the app.
You can get Android Settings in the first post of

Hope this helps someone.
I downloaded the amazon app store from aptoid app store on my passport by mistake, when I deleted it the original stock amazon store was gone too. I have re installed it with no issues..if you can't turn it off, try this, you can always re install when you want it...good luck
