It seems to be an Android app issue. Try opening all of them and then closing them through the CPU tab of device monitor and see if that helps (remember not to open them again until you're done testing).

If your battery life improves that means one of your Android apps is causing problems.

Just back up the phone with BlackBerry link and reload the software with link and then restore only device settings and basic communication data like contacts, emails!
Install the required apps after restore of device.

    Your problem would be solved!

Wow that's extreme. Don't do all that. Just start uninstalling android apps one day at a time until the battery life fixes

Hi! I'm happy with my battery life.
Usual day to day usage with medium network strenght at work gets me at about 40% battery at 10pm (from 6 am).
Sometimes I drive to branch office with goot network coverage on the road while listening audiobook's (about 2h drive one way) and at the end of day i have 20-30%. All with battery saving mode on 20 percent. Very rare with busy day I have 10% at 11 or 12pm.

Bought new passport black, chargin mostly overnight but always charging till 100% once every 2 months discharging till phone turns off.
I own this device for over a year now.

About once every 1-2 weeks I will also completely discharge the phone, and then completely recharge the phone. I also never do partial charges.

It's not possible for me to charge 'only' 85% and to connect phone before or after it's battery charge level is at specyfic level...

    You are absolutely correct!

On that same note, plugging in your phone seven times per day for short charges *cough* my girlfriend *cough* will also destroy your battery.

It might destroy charging port sooner. I'm not sure about the "destruction" of the battery with this method of charging. Any reference to reliable source?

Did you read your own link? Every time you plug your charger in you lose a charge cycle. Batteries have limited charge cycles.

And cycle can be full or brief. Please note Table 2 in the same link.

And if you plug your phone into the charger 8x per day for ten minutes each time, whereas some people like myself plug their phone into the charger 1x per ~48 hours, who's battery do you reckon to last longer and maintain a higher level of overall performance?

I'll not plug in my phone 8 times per day because it's not practical.

But let's look at table 2 and compare all four scenarios in given period of 48 hours = 2 days:
    1. One 100% cycle. Max 500 cycles = 1000 days.
    2. Two 50% cycles. Max 1500 cycles = 1500 days.
    3. Four 25% cycles. Max 2500 cycles = 1250 days.
    3. Ten 10% cycles. Max 4700 cycles = 940 days.
(Cycles max number / cycles number in given period * number of days)
Above comparison is a bit rough as charging is not linear after 85%-90% and full cycle is hardly possible as modern device switches off before reaching 0%, but overall picture is quite clear, IMHO.

    Table 6 is also interesting.
