I bought a secondhand Passport from a member here. I feel bad because he's a very nice guy and shipped it immediately, but the O, P, and Delete keys stick, are hard to press, and squeak.

Coming from a Passport with even keys, it's really been an honest hindrance to my typing. I'm sure he won't be thrilled should I ask to return it, but I've tried to deal with it and used it to see if it would loosen up. It has a little bit, but it's still noticeable.

Anyone else deal with a similar situation?

Return it if the seller didn't tell you those keys were faulty.

    None! I've never had an issue with a BlackBerry phone - I've had a Passport, 3 Q10's, 3 Z10's, a Z30, a Classic, a 9900 and a 9700. They've all worked fine and had no issues - no double-typing, no screen lift, no 'berries' coming off - nothing.

I know some people have had issues, and that is unacceptable, but I've not had a problem with any of my phones - so I count myself lucky.

Depending on what you paid for it. They do sell replacement keyboards online.
Might just be worth the price to replace the keyboard.

Zero. Thirteen months of no problems.

Not sure how people manage the bad luck/lobster claws that would result in several bad phones in a row.

I returned one blackberry passport to Amazon because of proximity sensor was faulty. My keyboard was always with no light. That was definitely hardware problem.
Now I have another one with no problems.

Went through three from Amazon and one from BlackBerry direct. All four had keyboard issues. I ended up keeping the first one I got from amazon since all replacements had a yellowish tint to the screen where my original is bright white. The units had either one or two keys that double-clicked and would rock from side to side without actually depressing the key. My current device has a bad P and Enter key, but I've basically forgotten about it now and have gotten used to it.

I returned zero, none, nada Passports. I knew the keyboard was going to initially be somewhat stiff because my old Torch phones had stiff keyboards. I also had read that the keyboard was stiff initially.

Two things happened just like on my Torch phones: the keyboard got broke in and my thumbs got stronger. I am a very happy camper. I think the keyboard is just right.
