The BlackBerry Passport is well known for it's astonishing Battery Life. To me it seems like it's the first BlackBerry since my Bold 9700 which getting me trough the day without the worries about when this day will end.

Since I only have the Passport for a week, my stats might be not that accurate since the phone is still like a toy to me =).

However it managed to get me to the end of my office hours with 80% left, where my BlackBerry Z10 would've been already down to around 25% on 10.2.1 and with a bit of luck 50% on a clean 10.3.

Being at 80% on my Passport, the phone told me I still have 1 day and 16 hours ahead of me untill it runs out.

This made me wonder what you're getting squeezed out of the astounding BlackBerry Passport battery.

    So let's gather and share:

    1. What's the average time BB10 is telling you trough the Active Frame that comes with the Device Monitor app?
    2. And more importantly, how long does it actually last while using it in real life?

My first phone once went from Friday morning to Sunday evening on a single charge. I believe that took it down ~30%-40%.

That one ended up being replaced a week ago from today. I've been running brightness at 100% on the new unit and am seeing 80% after about 8 1/2 hours off charger. 1 day, 17 hours remaining according to the monitor.

The first phone was set to about 75% brightness. I'm not sure if the new one is really dimmer, or if I just decided to crank up the screen because, hey, the battery can take it. Why skimp?

    Six weeks in.

    Weekdays - consider moderate use.
    1. Averaging 2 days 6 hours
    2. In real life, off the charger at 7AM, two days later put back on charger again around 11PM with always above 20% of juice left.

During the weekend (light use), when I don't have to deal with a bunch of email, it easily can go three days. But by the time I have to charge, battery will go down under 10%. So I have done this twice. Most of the time, I am keeping a habit of charging every two days.

    Cheers

I like everything on (bluetooth, wifi, GPS) and run my brightness at 100% with 3 active frames at all times.

Device monitor tells me average battery life is 1 day 15 hours. Time since last charge is 10 hours 47 minutes. Battery remaining 21 hours.

The longest I've gone is 47 hours and battery saving mode (30% left) kicked in. I've never had it run out on me during the day, and I charge every night on a Kidigi cradle with a Playbook charger connected to it.

    Edit:
Currently running the latest leak 10.3.1.1151. We all know OS versions and radio versions greatly affect battery life.

That's where I put my hopes onto. Especially with a none replacable battery that would be great. Phones prior to the BB10 phones I'd dock all the time (connect trough those charging connectors on the side / bottom of the device), although they've been lacking ever since BB10 came up on the horizon and now with the Passport (and Z30) I won't feel that comfortable of recharging over and over again despite everything they say about it being harmless to your battery.

Current average is 18 hours. To be honest, I expected a bit more. But Q10 average was nine hours, so it's twice more and I can survive almost one day on phone ;-)

I am coming around 2 days. Normally I am charging each night but I do not go below 60 percent when I do. On weekends I will go the full 2 days to drain the battery.

This is normal for all BB10 devices when loading an OS(everything needs to be indexed again). Give it another day to normalize.

Over a month with passport, average is 22 hours. If I don't play games I commonly get 2 days, with email, blend, phone calls and bbm usage.

The longest I have been on a single charge is about 40 hours... I took it down to 0% with a claimed 3hrs of stand by remaining. That's basically the only time I didn't charge it when I went to bed. And, this was without battery saving mode and with some moments of pretty heavy non-stop usage.

I recently reset my phone when loading the latest leak so my device monitor stats probably aren't accurate. It currently says 96% battery, 3hr 28min since last charge, and 1day 3hrs remaining. If I recall correctly it normally shows about 36 hours estimate on a single charge.

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a phone that would get me through 2 working days and the Passport does. That is assuming I need about 34hrs to get me home on the second day. Needless to say this battery is very impressive.

I should clarify that I almost always on WiFi during weekday (work and home). I have full bar at the office on 4GLTE, but only about 2 bars at home of 4G with TMO. I also only turn NFC, BT and GPS when needed.

I have a gmail and two pushed emails with one of them being Exchange email. I keep brightness at about 30%.

~1 month after I got my BlackBerry Passport, I consistently get around 30 hours weekdays (yeah 3G n/w in Office sucks) and more than 40 hours on weekends when I'm mostly connected to WiFi. All measurements with heavy usage

I use Waze for navigation and stream music from Spotify while I'm at the gym for a couple hours.

Im from Venezuela and the signal here sucks and the phone always suffer to get good signal. But I come from an iPhone 5s and I unpluged the iPhone around 6.30 and around 2 i was looking for a charger.

With the Passport I unplugged it at 6.30am and it last the whole day (11.pm) with heavy use, so Im pretty happy

I normally get minimum 48 and sometimes even up to 72 hours out of one charge. That's with a constantly strong 3G/H+ signal. I use it mainly for work so no social media notifications, and not much video or music streaming. No android apps installed at all.

However, I do tend to hammer it on email, phone, browser, SMS and whatsapp.
