How to know a Blackberry Passport is New or Refurbished?

Hello all -

Does anyone know of a way to find out if a BB Passport is New or Refurbished?

I'm in the market for one, however, I don't trust the retailers in Dubai when they say that they are selling a New Passport - Business Ethics and Consumer Rights are not as strong here as in the US/Canada unfortunately. Is there a way to find out - perhaps through the Serial Number code?

Thanks in advance.

On legacy devices, it will tell U in the about section under settings. Haven't seen anything with regards to this info on a BB10 device on any build. .1154, currently.

Hard to tell.

Boxes can be resealed.

If the seller is dishonest, you likely won't know.

Unless you have a list of serial numbers which show units returned, refurbished which I don't believe you have.

Unfortunately you need to trust someone.

Buy the seller not the device. That's my advice.
