Have always liked the windows metro/Lumia style homescreen, using an android app to get this result - really happy with it so far.

My wife uses a Nokia Windows Phone and I like it too. Do those tiles actually function? Do you have to install Ultimate Custom Widget?

They all function yes - most are the stock Passport apps, although for a few I've had to find Android alternatives. Took a bit of work pulling everything together and it's not as intuitive as if this were an Android phone obviously, but it works very well. Didn't have to install UCW, this is just an app I got off of Snap that offers a lot of customization.

There's tons of different launchers to play around with on Snap - most of the Android launchers work, you just have to tweak what programs the custom icons bind to, as they point towards android apps originally (unless you use those instead of the stock BB apps - mine are like 60/40 BB/Android.

I tried the free one quickly, but pointing to phone and email seems to be a problem.

Yeah you need to replace those with android equivalents as the stock BB phone/sms apps can't be controlled by Android launchers - find none of the Android ones compare, so for texts, I just swipe up and right in one continuous motion from the windows launcher to open my hub for texts and emails, and I have my phone/diaper saved in recent, so a full swipe up to access that - also store a few other BB apps in there that are superior to Android alternatives.

Edit: tweaked the home screen some more, clustered similar apps together and changed the layout - really liking it now . Updated the pic.
