All reactions towards my Passport have been neutral or negative so far.
Im cool about it though as it is very useful for my work and I like the design. Most important is that I like it :)

Had an American Businessman at hotel LeGermain in Toronto comment that "that's the Passport. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the Iphone for a while".

It's big. It's ugly. They still make BlackBerry's??!
Well at least i don't hear that it looks like android or iPhone (like they said about my Z10)
I love it! I can't put it down. Can care less what others think. I'm happy!
Passport on ATT
they actually say: "is that the new blackberry". The good part is they know the passport exists and without much advertising it is getting noticed. Some of them say they are thinking about it and others say it is too big how do you fit that in your pocket. I tell them it is easier to a passport in the pocket then their phablet.
Was a bit strange but the lady at the at&t store freaked on the width when I took it in to get a sim card. She acted like it was the biggest phone she had ever seen. I pointed out the size of the other phones in the place and actually had to hold my passport up to the other phones to show her it wasn't that big.
Outside of my office where I am still teased for having a calculator for a phone, I'm getting more intrigued inquiries. "Wow what kind of phone is that?? It doesn't look like an iPhone or Android"

People at the offfice usually make comments when I lay it on the table in front of me at meetings. One of the guys, a Samsung owner, said 'hey, it's pretty cool, man!' the other day.
Others will say 'you with your big BlackBerry!' and smile.
They all love the screen, that's the first comment when I show it.
Some people seems sort of oddly befuddled by it. They just glance at it and glance again :)
One of the girls was very impressed, saying 'it's so nice!'
It's funny with iphone people, when I show them features we have in our OS10 that they don't have, they usually say 'yes, but how often would you use that?!' every once in a while, though, they do admit that 'oh, that's pretty cool!'.

Family reunion, my brother in law saw it and told me: that's not a phone... the feature he liked the most was the trackpad kb and the kb shortcuts... as expected, he told me that he had never heard about that phone before... earlier today, handing my phone to the airline rep she said: wao, that's a nice phone, what is it? Oh, the new BlackBerry... then proceeded to show it off to other two reps...

Girl at the shoe store loved the phone. She didn't know BlackBerry was still around. Said she wanted the Z10 so badly when it came out, but when she went to the store, the display model wouldn't turn on and the sales rep moved her to an iPhone instead of fixing it where she could try it out.
She wants the Passport now, but just this week upgraded to a 6+ and is waiting for that to come in.
Guy at the Pho restaurant thought it was awesome that I can run Android apps, and remembers when BlackBerry used to be the big thing, but loves his Nexus.

it is interesting this post... shows how: 1.- she doesn't really want a BB but for some reason says she does or 2.- amazingly people do get a phone according to others opinion/trend/fit in in a group...
BlackBerry Passport Red, at TD Bank, Toronto branch counter, "Wow! That is a fancy looking phone, a BlackBerry!?" Alymer Quebec, St Hubert restaurant, waitress "Come, look! That is the newest BlackBerry! It is Gorgeous!" My own household, most hostile environment, teens and young adult, a Q10, one Z30, two Iphones, 4s and 5, " It is not big at all, nice colour combination, keep it even though you can probably make $500 bucks profits selling it on ebay!" Quebec restaurant, posh pretty young woman walks in, eyes drawn to the Passport on my table. Exchanging glances with my Passport. Imagine how jealous I was the entire time!
Oh well, at least she is my Passport, my second wife, and she looks so sexy and beautiful displaying "Interesting Places" on BBM Channels.
I took my newly acquired Passport into my carrier store (Telstra, Australia) to get a nano sim. The staff member asked if it was a new phone or just a replacement sim, I said "it's a new big square phone" and she asked if it was an iPhone 6+. I said no as I pulled my Passport out, and she just simply responded with "Holy ****". I couldn't keep the laughter in.
9000 -> 9700 -> 9800 -> Playbook -> 9900 -> Z10 -> Q10 -> Passport
The reactions have been hilarious. All over the board. Some have been really intrigued/curious (to which I respond with an overview of the specs/features). Others have been offended at the thought of a BlackBerry that can do as much as this. It's always shock, first and foremost, followed by either anger or adoration.
"The f#$& is that thing?!"
"It's so huuuge!"
"What do you mean a touch keyboard?"
"F#$& BlackBerry! (iPhone 6+ user)"

I got the "you are a NERD" dude" comment followed by the "it figures a desperate BlackBerry comes up with an utterly ridiculous format just to get NERDS to advertise "
I just smiled and tell apple fanboy as he struggles to get productive and worries about his gay photos being hacked, I get on with work, life and my hot wife.
LOL.

+1 on the Pho.
" I do not think that word means what you think it means. "
Done and dusted.
" I do not think that word means what you think it means. "
Generally the reaction has been positive.

Yeah, since 2 of the 5 people who have commented on my phone are salesmen, I think it's just a marketing gimmick, to complement ones phone.
