Changing phones today. My awesome passport will arrive.

I now go from a micro sim to a nano sim.

How do I transfer all my stuff form my Q10 to my Passport.

Do I do this through BlackBerry link?

I used Device Switch. It was easy, copied everything over and was pretty fast at doing so. No need to boot up the computer at all. I came to Passport from a Q10 as well.

I used Link to switch from my Q10 to my new Passport and my contacts got badly messed up...Downloaded the device switch app but it didn't work at all - I only selected contacts which is first on the list, I don't have that many (~900) yet the app gets stuck and then reports error connecting. Tried 3-4 times without success and gave up. Hope either Link or Device switch work fine for you though!

Congratz with new Passport, and welcome to the club

    about SMS,..
Why would you even consider having contacts on a SIM card? This is 2015

a SIM card has great limitations and cannot hold all info about contacts, and number of contacts are limited.

Perhaps this is the time, to make future changes easier for you, to start connecting to a cloud service, Outlook or Google or something - and have all your contacts there. They will be at least as safe as on your SIM, and in case your phone is stolen, - just get a new phone, new SIM, and set it all up - few minutes later you have all your contacts back

Nothing should be stored on the SIM for safekeeping

SMS's - make sure to get an app like "sms to email Pro" for your new Passport, it can automatically forward a copy of your incoming and outgoing SMS to a email address... that way your messages are not only backed up, but also easy accessible whenever you should need them.

Thanks. I really should do that. Will look into this. And you are completely right.
