    Have you tried a hard reboot?

    Hold power button down until red LED flashes and boot logo reappears.

    I believe you can hold the volume up and down button simultaneously for around ten seconds.

    Both work equally well. There is a BlackBerry support bulletin indicating as much.

    Personally I prefer the "long press" on power button simply to avoid the screen shots that occur with the volume rockers.
