[CrackBerry Question]

I have had my Passport almost a year. Today it froze. I have done a dozen or more soft resets using the power and/or volume buttons.

I need to backup my contacts and texts before doing a hard reset. BlackBerry Link tries for a few minutes and then gives up.

Link says: "Backup did not complete. Verify that you device is turned on and connected to BlackBerry Link, and try again."

I have done this over and over again for 4 hours. Is there any way to retrieve my contacts and texts before I do a hard reset?

I have to say that this really sucks. I cannot do a full backup every day. BlackBerry should store all this data on its servers as Crapple do.
