    We all know BlackBerry isn't launching a new BlackBerry 10 device this year.

    However, how about BlackBerry launching a new BlackBerry 10 device at Kickstarter? That would allow BlackBerry to know how many BlackBerry 10 consumers are still out there and willing to pay for such a device. Lots of user engagements and feedback could be obtained from such a kickstarter campaign. They can also launch a few of their very creative but patented ideas (e.g. IoT, wearables) there.

    I am not sure if it's a new idea. What do you think?

    It would probably go about as well as the Ubuntu Edge crowdfund, maybe worse.
