I was in the BB store in Dubai earlier today, and according to the staff there the Passport will not only be launched on 24th September, it will also be released for sale on that date. Price unconfirmed, but apparently less than 3,000 AED.

Also, the staff in the store stated that 10.3 will be released for all BB10 devices on the 24th September.

Let's hope their information is accurate.

The release of 10.3 for all BlackBerry devices would be huge news as it was expected that os 10.3.1 would be released to devices in November....not now.

I would agree that it's all pretty inconsistent, and I would add that I've never been very impressed with the staff in the Dubai store. We'll find out for sure in a week.....

I'm sorry, but how many times do we have "the guy at the store told me" posts and none of them have ever been true. As much as I would love BlackBerry to pull a rabbit out if their hat and have the Passport on Sept 24, I think it is more wishful thinking than likely to happen. Also, when you get information that we know is clearly wrong, it should be a red flag. BlackBerry all ready said that only Passport is getting 10.3, and Classic will bring 10.3.1, which will then be made available to all remaining devices. Contrary to "what the guy in the store" said. Can we please stop posting these? The "guy in the store" is no more a credible source then "my friend who works at BlackBerry " and just as accurate.

PS The guy in the store told me if you give me $100 I'll send you a Passport in the mail pre-release!

With the Launch Event happening in three locations and one being Toronto, I highly doubt that the Passport will be available on a Wednesday.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought typically, that new devices are available on Tuesdays...

Typically yes, new devices go on sale Tuesdays. But this isn't a concrete rule.

Thanks very much for the post OP but there is no ways I'm getting my hopes up to possibly be disappointed. I rather wait till BlackBerry says "10.3" now available for all BlackBerry devices.
