    Hello All,
    Longtime reader, first time poster.
I actually had a longer and more detailed post that I deleted by accident, so here's the abridged version.

I LOVE my Passport. I've had lots of phones and keep coming back.

The purpose of this post is kinda like "Android apps for Dummies"

I don't use cobalt's method (even though he's wonderful) because for my needs, I don't need Google Services functionality. And I don't use the amazon apps that are included (too "bloaty" - feels like the Passport becomes sluggish after installation)

I love the BB OS and I just wanted a selection of Android apps that I use regularly

There are 2 ways that I load apps:

    1) use ES file explorer on my trusty LG-G3 android phone to backup all the apps I want, and then transfer them to my Passport (via PC or Bluetooth). Enable "allow install from unknown sources" on the Passport and start installing!

    2) use apkmirror.com - great site by a Trusted source (Android Authority). Just type in the app that you want and you'll have the option to download any released versions that go back a couple years

-all apps will not work using these methods (but the apps that I want/use, do work)

-you may need to install older versions (for example I backed up the latest Netflix apk on my LG and transferred it to the Passport...didn't work/install. I went to apk mirror and downloaded a version of the app from about 18 months back and it works fine)

Apps I've installed and are working great
    Google maps
    HERE maps
    Naked Browser
    Orbot&Orfox (kinda works)
    WPS office
    Polaris office
    Flappy bird
    Office mobile
    Diet Diary
    Outlook app
    Army Survival Guide
    Offline Survival Guide

The these are just mine. As you can see, no social media (I'm boring and not a voyeur :^)

Social media apps MAY work, but I have no data to present

So to recap, this may not work or be ideal for everyone but hopefully there are at least a few users that will benefit (I know I would have when I started with my Passport)

    Thanks for reading.
