I recently migrated from a Z10 to a Passport (AT&T version), and battery life for me has improved markedly. When I'm office bound for most of the day (and hence plugged in quite a bit), it never dips below 95% remaining. On more active/outside days, 60-70% at worst. I'm a moderate user, not as much in terms of video or social networking to any great extent, but pretty heavy e-mail.

By contrast, the Z10 was quite a bit more unpredictable day to day, and I'd periodically run out of juice by evening.

Generally, very happy with the Passport overall. A bit bulky carrying it in its belt holder, but I knew that going in.

    Hope this helps?

Heavy use: 14 hours. Normal use: 17 hours. It beats every device on the market. I manage to squeeze Q10 out of 7 hours and Z10 out of 6. Q20 can last longer, one hour longer. Iphone? Well, the only experience with iPhone gave me 5 hours.

Heavy use with Hotspot running I can get an easy 18-20 hours. Clash of clans takes a toll and will cut that to 15 hours before i'm at 15%.

Without recharging after a heavy use day, say a Friday, my phone will do ok with moderate use and run for another 6-7 hours before a full recharge is needed. Putting on the charger an hour or so will get me through the rest of the next day.

When you first buy it and set it up it spends a few days bedding in and doing a number of tasks that use up the battery. Most people jump to the conclusion the battery life isn't good. BUT then they realise after a week or two the battery is very good compared to other manufacturer's devices.

I can honestly tell you that I have gotten more than 35 hrs on my passport with heavy use as well. Using youtube, looking at social media and taking vids and pics. I am satisfy with the battery. Hope you find it satisfying as well! Enjoy!

I always get a working day, never had a flat battery and been left stranded. The only way I could get two days would be with very little use.

I use my Passport very heavily, pretty much run my company on it. With average use I guess I'm looking at say 20 hours. I had an iPhone 5 some time back and that would last about six hours or so.

    Hope that helps.

I've never killed the battery in one day. I typically get a day & a half out of mine with fairly heavy use.

I'm going to say approximately double, I don't know about exceeding double. When I had a Z10, I would need to swap battery in the afternoon after heavy use. My typical day with the Passport (max brightness, lot of screen time) leaves me with ~30% when I'm home from work.

i had quite a bit better going from Z10 to passport Z10 on my heavy use lasted me 3 hours i can now get a min of 15 on passport so i got 5x the life by the change over.

Passport has never let me down. All day use no problem. Sometimes I go two days if I am too lazy to charge it at bed time.

I've compared my Z30 (2880mAh) with Z3 compact (2600mAh), For daily use, z3c can last longer for 1 half day.
I don't know why but z3c packed with higher cpu, means it's more power hungry.

As long as I get till end of night I'm happy before I go to bed I charge anyway so you don't need anymore than a full day soon as u wake till you go to sleep that's it. Unless you in the bush with no charger then put on battery saving mode.

Heavy use at the end of the day, I still have 50 or 60% left. but I always put on the charger every night. The one time I didn't, I got about 36 hours with very heavy use.

The heaviest use day I had, I was left with 25% at the end of the day.
Typical days, I'm left with 35-65% at bed time.

At the office over wifi and using blend I get over 30 hours, out with H+ me being a heavy user 12 hours, but with very heavy use, I mean about 200 MB of data over the day, about 150 emails (sometimes more) all checked through the day, a lot of BBM handling at least 15 active chats through the day (when I'm out of office), at least 60 minutes a day of phone calls, some browsing and twitter checking.

Lasts more than 1 day!! I charge it every night-usually still 30% left. That way, I'm sure it won't die out next day. Also I won't have to carry battery pack (6700) with me-one less thing to carry with me!

Let's just say its battery life is one of the better ones in the market. I get on average around 16-17 hours with moderate to heavy usage, leaning to heavy usage. It is much better than my Q10 and significantly better than my Z10; not even comparable to the latter.

To be honest, I would love to own a phone that I know FOR SURE will last me from 7AM to at least 2AM, and the passport is almost there, not there yet but very close! I know I can make the battery last this long but I would be using it very lightly especially towards the last stretches.

I've also noticed battery life performance is heavily dependent on the network it's connected to!

3-5 hours of calling, sending about 50 emails, receiving close to 200, a couple of hours of consolidated time on whatsapp, and intermittent browsing sees me at 40% by 2, at which point I plug it in again.
Usual day has me on the road a lot, and the phone's most often plugged into the car charger.
This, however, must be looked in the context of my usage. I've given up carrying my laptop, and every other smartphone I've used had me tethered to a charger.

A very capable device, all in all.

Just curious about what everyone thinks about the Passport's battery life. I'm ordering one tomorrow, and I want to make sure that it won't fail me like my classic. Good or bad reviews are welcome!

There is a fairly recent (last 2-6 weeks?) thread about this already. Very informative, lots of Device Monitor screenshots, etc, etc. This might be the thread (or it might just be another one of many.....): http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...l-use-1021010/

My experience as a reasonably heavy user: with Location Services & 4G turned off, and constantly in areas where I have a consistently strong signal... about 35-40 hours until the 10% battery warning notification appears. I have NEVER had the Passport turn itself off because I have run out of battery. A couple of times a week I travel away overnight, and I don't bother taking a charger with me any longer.

Note: the first few days after an OS upgrade, then the battery life is rubbish whilst it indexes itself etc

Absolutely amazing and the best battery life on a mobile device. I have 2 passports....charge my AT&T work Passport every other day or every 2 days....just because I think I should at 40% battery life after 2 days....with tons of text, email, web and phone usage. Usually charge my unlocked version every other day just because not that she needs a charge. Tons of voice, text, data, music and email too.

I see my co-workers Iphones and Samsung plugged in all day.....I don't carry a wall charger or car charger, cuz I don't need it.
