Hi, I noticed this just today that the upper center part of the passport's screen has a white scratch-like mark. At first I thought it was but when I removed the screen protector, it's still there. Is this a pixel problem? Is it dead pixels? It's more obvious when screen is bright or displaying bright colors like white...but is not visible when displaying black or darker colors. It's small but really annoying. Help please...

If you have screen protector, and if after cleaning and removing of any air bubble, and the 'white patch' still there (on the same spot) just send back your unit for a replacement.. other refer it to as 'dead pixel' and there is no OS update that can fix it... it is a hardware related problem...

The exact same issue has just started to occur on my Passport. Upper centre of the screen has a noticable white spot that is only visible when there's a white or light coloured background. When it's a dark or black background it's not visible. Adjusting the brightness does not make it go away. I've had my Passport for about four months.

I had that happen on a sony xperia. Was told the back of the lcd was touching (compressing) some other component. Nothing you can do, harmless but annoying.

Two of the LCD film layers are, for some reason, making contact. It's not a catastrophic problem and will not hamper the function of the screen, but it's ugly to look at.

If you can send it back, do so. I've fixed those problems on larger LCDs and they are tough enough. It would be hell to try and fix that on a Passport-sized screen.

My classic has this, my Nokia 1520 had one, they're very annoying to look at. Reminds me of a thin spot of ice on a frozen lake for some reason. Hate it.
