Hi, I recently got my passport (1st blackberry device ever!) and loaded it with the google play store.

After installing some apps from the Google play store, I keep receiving error message telling me that the device doesn't have enough storage space to install APP (not the update as other posts out there).

I tried installing one of the apps from Blackberry World and it went fine. It only happens with apps I tried to install from Google Play.

Here are the screenshot I took showing my storage capacity:

HELP! - Not enough storage space to install APK app-img_20150324_125631.jpg

Can anyone help to point out the way to fix the issue please? First time on blackberry and crackberry, if there were any old posts regarding this, please kindly share the link.

    THANK YOU!!

Have you loaded Google Play Store directly or using Snap to access Google Play Store?

Your Google play store may not have any rights to the storage device.

Also where did you obtain your Google Play Store? Is it the one from Cobalt?

I loaded the Google Play Store directly from Cobalt's post. After a few installations then the message keeps appearing preventing me to install the app.

T.T no one experiencing my problem??

What I found is after I do a soft reset, it works again. But then after a few installation, the message reappears.

Screen shots of Memory Usage, bracketing an unsuccessful install , might be helpful. That is, a shot immediately before the unsuccessful install and one immediately afterwards.

Has it, by any chance, updated itself? The Play store will try to do that, when there's a new version, but those either get feisty or don't work at all. You need to keep it from auto-updating and keep checking the first post in Cobalt's thread for his update.

    Just to complete this thread:

The solution for lemonch126's problem was to remove the manually installed 360 security app. If 360 security is installed, Play Store can't access the internal SD card and this causes the error message that there is not enough space.

So if you encounter a message from Play Store that there is not enough space, it could be because of an Antivirus app.

To solve this problem, either configure the Antivirus app to allow Play Store to access the internal SD card or remove the Antivirus app.

Well, I installed the exact same files from Cobalt's thread, about a month ago and everything is still fine so far. No storage crap notification whatsoever. In fact, this is the first time I've heard of it. It's curious that I did not get that antivirus at all, but you did.

Oh, passport is also my first BlackBerry device ever.

I am using BlackBerry Z3, It is runing on OS 10.3.1 and I had same your issues.

You can not fix It but you can restart your BlackBerry device, after that you can install your Android App.

I had the same problem. Deleted the android folder. Tried everything, but in vain. You wouldn't believe, if I told you, that just a restart solved the damn issue. :P

And if this doesn't work? I can't install LINE anymore, it used to work till yesterday now it's gone and it just says I don't have enough space which is crap.
EDIT: I think I solved this installing PlayStore instead of using Snap.

    Hello Everybody!

I have a similar problem: I can't install the .apk files I downloaded from Cobalt's site to install Google store. So the same "not enough storage" problem appears when I would like to install the Google Store. If I restart my phone it does not work and I do not have any antivirus app I manually installed, so I do not really know what else I could try.

Please help me! Thank you in advance!

Sounds to me like the android runtime issue. When you remove android apps with the defective runtime, it stays hidden on your phone. Update the runtime in blackberry world, then reinstall then uninstall android apps you've used. That should clear the data out
