Help help! New PP but link won't let me transfer from z30

Help!

Really wanted to do the seamless transfer and can't.

Using a mac.

I've tried to back up my z30 using link and it won't do it. Just says backing up hangs for a bit then says done. What the heck?

When I try the transfer to a new device, link just keeps spinning and it won't/can't access my z30 to do the transfer.

Ugh.

How do you transfer my data!!

Do you have the latest version of link installed on your Mac? I have had issues in the past where I had an older version of link instead of the latest one! What OS are you running? Mavericks, Yosemite?

Also make sure your OS from the Z30 is less or the same OS on the Passport

Have you tried device switch app?

I'd try with Device switch app

I'm running Yosemite.

The OS on my z30 is 10.2

I've tired device swap and link says it can't backup my z30 so I can't even selectively restore content.

I also have deleted link and download the latest version from BlackBerry as the installer says install blend and update link.

Help!!

Download the Device Switch from BBAW and connect to the same WiFI network. Follow the screen prompts making the appropriate choices and it should transfer all data and apps. Forget using your Mac, it will be hit and miss at best.

Freaking hate how BlackBerry cones up with such am amazing device but can't get the desktop interface to work.

Purchased Backup Pro from BlackBerry World and will also use that to migrate content over. It looks really good as I can encrypt and store my backup into box or Dropbox.

Link sucks! I tried to use the device switch for my swap and my wife's swap. I know mine didn't work and I don't think it worked for my wife.
