I am NOT a tech person. Is there a simple way to backup my phone to the cloud? Connecting to my laptop to perform a backup is getting harder and harder, as my new-ish IBM Thinkpad will not recognise my BB. :O I greatly appreciate any guidance. Thx. :)

I don't want to have to leave BB! :(

I assume you are using a gmail or outlook.com account and all of your contacts, calendar entries, and email are already synced? If not, do so.

You can backup your text messages with SMS Backup from BlackBerry World.

Make sure you use Evernote folders in BlackBerry Remember.

Put media and documents on your SD card.

You can use the Basket app from BlackBerry World as a DropBox client.

    What's left?

Individual app data wouldn't be backed up with any of that, so they'd need to do that part manually.
