Try tooth pick to break up and pocket lint that may be stuck in the bottom of the headphone jack. Making sure you don't hit the contact points that are inside the headphone jack. Once done breaking loose and lint and such, blow across the headphone port to get anything loose to come out.

Also, try a second set of head phones with your phone. And see what the out come is.

Yeah, if you're only getting one channel of audio it's a connection issue. More than likely dirt or lint stuck in the headphone port. Make sure the connector on the headphones is clear of debris and try to clean the jack out too. Preferably not with something metal.

Headphone port damage? I have experienced this suddenly on my earlier Q10. Just after the warranty period was over (as always!). Repairs were crazy expensive, so I settled with BB mini speaker instead.

Replacing the jack is simple just need to get one. Maybe find a broken Passport for pennies?

    Ditto.
    Easy on the passport.
But do all other options first before diving in and opening up the phone.

That's great to hear.....cheaper fix than messing with the phones jack.

My headphone jack on my OGPP has failed completely and yet BBVE tests show it's supposedly working. Gone wireless now but would rather be wired, TBH.

Well be happy to help you solve your problem.
Have you tried the following yet?
    1) new headphones
    2) press and hold voulme up and volume down buttons until device reboots
    3)personal OS reload using link?

    Hello,

These BlackBerry headphones, it's the second set that failed me. My old black pair that came with my Z30 failed too, same thing, one ear piece started to go sad because they're quite good headphones. Think I'll get and over ear or on ear set with a thicker cable.

    Cheers,
    JP

Yeah I stopped with the BlackBerry headphones after buring thru 3 pair in less than a year. And I just use mine at work behind my desk.

Thanks for the help but I've tried all 3 (#3 numerous times for other issues) and nothing seems to fix this particular issue. My guess is the jack is toast and for some reason BBVE isn't picking up on it.
