For those of you that have had some screen lift, and have then tried the clamp fix method (of literally clamping the screen in order to squeeze the screen back down into the frame), has this method completely eliminated the screen lift? Or has the screen lifted again since then?

So I've tried the following methods to clamp fix the phone screen.

Have you tried the clamp fix on the SE?-img_20160126_120311.jpg

This method above was the first one that I tried. The reason was because the right lateral edge of the screen was slightly lifted. Using the clipboard method (with a pad of sticky notes to focus the pressure on the screen and not on the frame) actually secured the screen side edges down just fine. What I then found was that the top edge of the screen, only under the notification LED, was lifted slightly. So to localize the clamp pressure even more, I did the following:

So right now, the SE has been clamped for an hour, and I'll try to leave it for a day and see if that fixes the entire screen lifting once and for all.

Could a paper clip possibly provide enough clamping force? The glue is no godo, you'd need to apply glue first and then clamp

Not a paper clip, a clipboard. It's strong, but now am using something stronger. Others have attested to this working so my turn to give it a go!

It depends on why the screen lifted. If it is due to poor performance of adhesive, clamping will work. But if it is due to bended steel frame, it will only temporarily fix the problem and the screen will lift again.

How long has it been since you did this? And is it still holding?

I tried the Milwaukee clamp and the left and right screen edges are now perfectly seated lower than the frame; but the only issue now is that the top edge of the frame is lifted, but ONLY under the notification LED. Has anyone else experienced this, where it's only lifted under that specific area? It's kind of weird I must admit. But overall the device looks pretty good.

This was at my study lol. Had it held in that position for 12hrs. Haven't had a noticeable lift since then.

Not sure if anyone is using cases when the screen lift happens. But from my experience, going no case had no issue. Used Ringke fusion case, no issue. Put on the BlackBerry hard case, with in one week the screen started lifting. So removed the hard case and the screen went back down on its own.

Where are you guys located and what's the ambient temperature? Are your phones getting warm and the glue separating?
