Just switched to Telus a few days ago, go my passport and the battery is offensive, how is anyone going to sell car chargers with this kind of battery life.

I hit 10% before 12 hours.

You got a bad battery, or your brightness is on full. I'm constantly on my phone, streaming music, bluetooth connections, sending and recieving emails and texts, youtube, twitter, facebook, etc.

Do what I did...upgrade to a Z30.

I can leave all radios on. Location-based stuff, and work for 8+ hours in a horrible cell reception office, and still not run out by the time I need to go to bed.

And yes I am a moderate user. Games, browsing, multiple email accounts.

Love...absolutely love the battery. Didn't realize how bad the Z10 was until I got the Z30. (well, having to charge at lunch in the office was a clue).

You barely use your phone. If I use it on 80% brightness, doing reddit errands and some surfing and reading, my battery will be out in 4-5 hours..

Car chargers are very handy in South Africa which is in the midst of power cuts, even with a Passport.

I've noticed in general that Android apps use a fair amount of battery. I use Spotify for half an hour each morning before work and currently Device Monitor says it used 2.4% battery versus Reddit in Motion at 2.1% (which I'm using all day and night).

ATT here. I unplug at around 5-6AM. Read on my kindle app for about 30-40 minutes on the commute to NYC. Once I get to work, service is good, blend is being used on the computer when I'm at my desk, and I don't play games or stream music. Send/receive 100+ emails a day, some sent on the device some, some not. A few texts here or there when I have the chance. I put brightness all the way down at the office (quick settings are so damn convenient) And some web browsing and other app use during lunch. After 2 weeks, I'm at about 40% usually after 12 hours with this usage.

So basically, I'm certainly satisfied with being able to go through the whole day without being a wallhugger but from what it sounds like from other folks, I should be able to get even more out of this thing, maybe be closer to 60-70% by the time I get home. That said, when on standby and not at use at all, certainly better than iphone there. Plus the phone is seriously so goddamn awesome it's hard to complain that I'm not able to go two full days without charging. (seriously are people really getting that with hardcore work/productive use??????)

Haven't upgraded to 10.3.1 yet though but I'm about to give that a go so if it still isn't lasting as long as everyone is saying here, I can exchange with amazon before the 30 days runs out.
