It seems the flickering has gone as i haven't had it for two days, just wondering if its possible for BlackBerry to fix without actually putting it into an OS, like fix it by OTA some how.

I have only had it once since loading last week and haven't had it since. You may be on to something.

Yes, but if we're only getting it once in awhile, maybe it's something simple causing it.

Only way to fix the flickering is to hire a new software team.

i know 10.3.1 has flickering issues (where whole screen is flickering)

did anyone experience the the keyboard flickering when entering the SMS message in 10.3.0? it is there for 1-2seconds only, just for virtual keyboard. For my passport, its the virtual keyboard line for punctuations.

(i remember i saw that on Z30 before as well, not sure anymore)

I've seen that as well on my passport only for sms on 10.3.0 but not 10.3.1

Pssst. If they don't know about it, and we keep stroking our woodies over the greatest piece of software ever created , BlackBerry will never fix it. Haha

Fwiw, I've never had my screen flick. If was on 1154, now on 2072, haven't felt the urge to update.

Ever since a clean fresh install of 2267 and a reboot I haven't had it. Use to have it multiple times a day.

Had my PP since a week after release and have only had flicker once. Been on 2267 not quite a week direct from 10.3.0. I do wonder if it is part hardware issue as not everyone seems to get it.

Passport or Z10, whichever is nearest

It's a sw issue not hw. Passport doesn't have any flickering issue on 10.3.0.1418

I have a theory. The 10.3.0 release has no flickering. But, the chip set on 10.3.0 is underclocked by 100mhz.

10.3.1 has flickering and is clocked higher than 10.3.0 is.

The flickering looks to me like over clocking artifacts.

It may be that this is a hardware/engineering issue.

    Just a theory.

It is probably the reason why no other official passport OS has been released, they will probably tweak 10.3.1 just before the official release to include passport fixes, that my guess anyway.

I can't seem them officially releasing 10.3.1 and the passport still flickers, there would be tons of returns, I for one would return my pp.

The os for y!he AT&T passport has flickering. The latest 2267 leak seems to have fixed it. I hope BlackBerry fixes it before the AT&T phones are released. They can't afford to mess this one up like they did with the Z10 release.

Yes I would think it will get fixed, either in an update or by the magic of BlackBerry.

2267 has NOT fixed flickering. I just downgraded to 10.3.1418, because flickering was not acceptable.

It is software related, because i only have this problem with 10.3.1,but not with 10.3.0.

Well I have not read any single Post in every single Thread but I started to wondering, with that high amounts of Flickering Reports, if it is really a Software Problem and not a Hardware Problem.

The Software Problem would be solvable "easily".

If it is the Hardware, then BlackBerry has really a problem. That would cost them not only a lot of money.

The flickering is very irritating and also happen on original OS 10.3.0.xxxx. The newer os10.3.1 has with every build lesser flickering and most hate is when it flickering when I wanted to take a picture or showing people some pictures. I really hope they will fix it because I really like the Passport.
