I did, although sadly I decided to move on from the Passport specifically because it was very difficult to type one handed on. To type, I would basically start slow typing the first few letters of a word, then rely on flick typing and predictive text.

I can. I can do it with my left hand, but I can't do it with my right one. It is not so difficult given the fact that my hand is average sized.

I have but it was rough lol. It's a challenge, but it can be done. Would rather use both though. If you're concerned about one hand use for a qwerty, you may be better off with a Classic. With the toolbelt and the size, it's the greatest one hand device imo.

Me! My right arm and wrist were fractured due to a motorcycle accident, and it was pretty severe. I used my gf's passport during that time, like for around two and a half months, I was able to type pretty fast using just my left hand, and also use the whole device with my left hand during that time with no issues. Accident happened just 3 months back and I'm still recovering from it.

    Hi there,

It's very hard to type using one hand as you can't reach all bottoms, but very addictive to use two hands.

Yes, its very easy to do, if you do the above. Put your pinky fingerjust below the bottom of the phone below the space bar to support the bottom (where the usb and speakers are), then support the back of the phone with your ring, middle, and index fingers. From that hold, you should be able to get everything down with your thumb, and like others said the flicking of the predictive text works great - especially given how great your Blackberry gets at getting used to the words and phrases you use most. My blackberry taught me that I say "thanks for the heads up" all the time, because to complete that sentence, all I have to do is type one letter (the T) and it predicts and completes the rest of the phrase in 5 seconds. Thats efficiency. I use this method 80% of the time and it makes me a more productive and efficient person in the world - precisely what BB intended. Try it, love it, live it. Haha
    Thanks for the heads up...

Yes, one handed typing is possible and quite easy. Although right handed, I type single handed with my left hand. It is easier to balance on my little finger and let the thumb do all of the magic.

I have medium-sized hands. After a year of practice, I can kinda type one handed on my Passport. It isn't the reach that's the issue for me, it's the leverage needed to push down on the keys.

I'll tell you what works better though: the voice dictation feature, activated using the period on the bottom virtual keyboard row. I find it works well for emails, SMS, and BBM, and for me is way more accurate than the Assistant. When the only times you're one-handing the keys is to fix a little text and hit send, those chores are more manageable.

What would make this possible is a full touch screen passport and have when needed swipe to the sides in a special way and make the screen orientate to the size of a z10. Make this happen on both sides of the phone and make it possibles to use the passport when needed with one hand
