In germany too, BB maps always excelled comparing to google maps. They always provided faster and shorter route compared to google maps. Only issue is finding location with names and street names is a little complicated in BB maps.

Can I suggest NAVFREE in the BlackBerry store. You would be surprised at the features it sports. Very nice and use it a lot

I could download the cobalt's files using opera browser. I also found out a apk for Google maps which works great in passport now.
