You have all info here on how to install google play and then you can download google maps, also if you want to login, you need to patch it.

Also a good BB10 app that will access all Google maps features called BeMaps Pro. Google maps website also works fine for most things

Thanks guys. But will Google maps work if I install apk alone? I don't use many apps. Hence I am a bit skeptical in installing cobalt's method.

Google "goodreader apk" and then search for google maps in it. I guess version 7.6 or something is good. Its bar file. Download it and install it via sachesi or DBBT since its a bar file!
This doesn't need any google playstore or any other backend software.

Downloading the bar from goodreader is the safest way for google maps.

Cobalt's way and patching the app eliminate the constant "Install Google services" popup plus allows use of most of the Google Maps features.

Trying to download the files from the Mega Link. Unfortunately not able to download as the page keeps loading for ages. Tried with both Chrome and Internet explorer also. Tried to download with different internet services also. Can somebody help in giving an alternate link to download those files?

Bemaps Pro is a great native solution. It's much easier on battery life and it doesn't require patching and workarounds. I've never had an issue with it. It utilizes Google maps for generally everything and redirects to BlackBerry Maps for turn by turn. It's great app.

If you do Cobalts play store, you can update. If you use another apk, you cant. That said google maps seems to work even with versions that are a few years old

Try that. It's an older apk version that I use on my passport without problems. Pre google play services required...

    Cheers

BlackBerry map is very less informed than Google map (10%?) .. no place name in BlackBerry map for India. No bus stop names no ATM/bank names, no petrol pump names
