I see no streets, etc. Just a grey screen. GPS blue dot shows up. If I turn satellite view I see the images, but no text overlay.

    Any ideas?

Latest maps installed via Cobalt Play store.

Check your surroundings! You may have been transported to The Neutral Zone and didn't know it!

What device and variant do you have?

GMaps only needs to be patched if you want to sign in. It should work fine otherwise, as is.

Patching it fixed the text overlay. Added benefit of sign in. It didn't find my location until I clicked Location Accuracy Tips. Working now.

I had the same issue as you, but I had it when I went to Japan.
My GPS works perfectly in North America, but BlackBerry never created maps for other countries I believe.

Oops I thought I read BlackBerry maps... not Google maps.
