That's a great deal! New? Wow!

I got mine yesterday for 395€ from amazon warehouse deals. Everything is new. Accessories unused like new and I love it.
First I had the passport sold it for the classic and now bought the passport again and it's the best device I had

Ohhhhhhhhh. I'm going to get one.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, wait, I can't since there is not one for Verizon since BB entered into an exclusive deal with AT&T NOT to sell them either!

When did BBRY ever say there was such a thing as a Passport 2?

John Chen said it a while ago, though that's not its name, he said there will be a successor to the Passport and the Classic too.

I am Planning to buy a BlackBerry to manage my Emails (personal and work), using BBM and Whats app on it.
Is it a good time to buy a BlackBerry Passport, now!, or wait for the new Passport 2
Curious, but what are you using now?

Duh. Every device has a successor. No indication it would even be the same form factor.

Did you even read the article?

"...the company will be working on a second generation of the 3-row QWERTY device."

It's pretty clear to anyone with basic reading comprehension skills.

Yeah, I'd say go for it. I was very sceptical of the Passport and almost bought a Classic instead. I've had the Passport for a month now and couldn't be happier. I'd say it's my main computer now. Certainly my main communication device.

I find the size very convenient for meetings. It's less obtrusive than a laptop and is about as fast for data entry.

Really, for my uses the Passport is in a class all its own. I'll be hanging on to this until the come out with a Passport 2.

Also, I got used to the size very quickly. Now everything else just seems... suboptimal.
Ditto (with the exception of the 'nearly buying a Classic' bit - as I never viewed the Classic as an upgrade from my old Q10).

My Passport has hugely exceeded my expectations.

My only real gripe, is actually with Blend, as you still cannot use Blend to edit an existing contact, which means that the Passport/Blend combination is more than sub-optimal for me as a PIM (I'm still having to use my very old Palm Desktop software, which I had hoped could be replaced by a Passport/Blend combination).

Note: sub-optimal is a nice term for 'sh*t' or 'cr*p'.....

I am waiting to know what exactly is the source of the double typing issue. If it is a software issue, then I will probably buy one. If it is a hardware issue I will wait for the slider because I live in China and it will be too troublesome to exercise the warranty.

I got my Red Passport delivered yesterday and I can't put it down. It is unlike any phone that I ever had before. It is freaking amazing in every way possible. It is HUGE, but very comfortable in the hand, fits fine in your front pocket. The battery lasts forever, call quality is great and reading on it is by far the best I have ever experienced..

I have not found ANYTHING not amazing about this phone yet!!

A good time to purchase a PP is tomorrow. The best time was yesterday. But right now is optimal as well.

First fault of the Passport.... Laying in bed, it is hard to type and is heavy.. Not a huge deal, but lying in bed at night is a big returning email time for me...

What double typing issue? Never seen it. Friends with Passports have never seen it. Read about one OP with the concern but that's it. I wouldn't generalise to the entire Passport user base because of that.

No not a good time to buy a Passport. They are still overpriced considering they are a buggy albatross. Wait for a year when they only cost $200 and then you won't feel so bad about spending $200 so unwisely. I wish I had.

Only you can determine if you want to spend over $500 on a phone, but if you can afford it. The Passport is amazing.. not a single issue with mine, except it suffers from "extreme awesomeness"

If always waiting for new generation then during a you will never get the phone! Even if there has passport 2 then you will think to wait for better price then once the price drop down you may think of the passport 3! So if you love passport and think this is worth then.......buy it
