I have a new passport and want to know of good apps on the BlackBerry App store. I downloaded a new yrok times, cb10, blackberry central, a good podcast/radio app, and a Bmi calculator. What else is good, aside from android apps I mean?

I have the cobalt app but only got a roku controller app and kindle. I prefer to keep android to a minimum because I hear it slows down the blackberry.

These are all native apps in Blackberry World
a few WebWork apps that I like are:
    Playepub Book Reader
    Pingstreet
    Music Search

    Also in BBW

Good Luck! And don't forget to check out other HTML web apps if you can't (or don't) want to use android apps. Some work fine and some don't but they are worth checking out. Just go to the mobile web site and put a shortcut to that web site on your Passport's desktop. A few really good one come to mind such as CBC (if you are in Canada), PayPal (excellent), CNN (good), Expedia, and AirBnb.

It's great having shortcuts set to Long pressing buttons or double tapping them. I haven't used the homescreen shortcuts, but I could definitely see them being useful.

    Phone Finder
CCTV (Observation Camera, works in conjunction with Push/Black Bullet)

    ORGANIZING

    Turbo Reader
    Easy Notes

    DAILY
    Hub++Led

I've just tried the new app Quickstocks (android port in BBW) and I like it so I've paid for the Pro version. Sorry not a native app but I recommend it.

I've never been an app junkie so the pre-installed apps do me nicely. In fact the only additional apps on my Q5, Leap & Passport SE are:
    Nobex, CB & Solitaire.

I did recently add Whatsapp but only because my stepbrother decided to set up a family group.

Honestly you can be very happy and enjoy your bb hardware, most people only have issues because of the seeming need to herd together.

Remember + Evernote account + Evernote Web Clipper Extension install on your Desktop/Laptop browser
This my favorite native combo. Remember app is very underrated IMO. Web version of Evernote can sync to google drive

    Twitter (twitter)
Inst10 (Passport and IG no brainer ) (my IG : flashinlightsig )
    Events (meetup)
    Linkedin
    Dropbox
    S10 (Slack)
    Sof (flikr)
Anytime (freelance billing and tracking )
Smart Tags (I love QR codes this is the fastest app for it no need the download anything else)

Bonfire Reader (fast eReader on z10/z30 but doesn't like passport screen. PocketBook is great if your going android. Kindle and Kobo are both ****TY!!!! ) also there is a way to jailbreak your kindle library

Exercise Timer (very well done )
Body Buddy (Alt to My Fitness Pal)

    Bible Plus (Simple Clean Quick)

    Hype Machine (Music Discovery)
    rad.io (better then Nobex imo)

    Pac-Man
    Kiwi Wonder
    Monkey Adventure

    Last but definitely least
Native Browser + Add to Home Screen ( Save you bookmarks this way , most modern sites have favicons that will look like apps on your screen )

doo is a great app. Although it is more useful for all touch phones, the ability to turn on/off the flashlight or voice recording without unlocking the phone is worth the price of admission.

"Silent Keys" is also a very good app available in the BlackBerry World. It features a lot of different keyboards of different languages such as Hebrew, Russian, Arabic and so forth and, of course, an editor for texts in that language with easy copy&paste functionality.
