Couldn't resist. Just opened it. Being one of the first on the planet to use a BlackBerry, it would be like selling my soul to part with it, so I'm not going to. I'm sure there will be more awesome coming, so don't give up on getting something just as amazing.

Overall, the device does not stand out enough in my personal opinion. It looks too close to the stock silver. The fact that it's made in Canada is worth the price though. That's seriously awesome. I really wish BlackBerry made the Red Passport in Canada as well, or at least offered a premium version that's made in Canada.

One serious question though about this LE engraved device...what happens if it develops an issue, particularly a non repairable one? You can't exchange it for another. There aren't any more. If there are, then it's not as exclusive because there is more than one same number out there.

I'm still jealous it's made in Canada :|

The Box is the same...except it saying it was made in Canada...which was the biggest Bonus (yes I know that could be based on label rules..but still)! I think BB may not have expected that would be one of the exciting factors for people!

It came with a free Valextra leather case worth $100. I'm going to have to get used to that cause now I can't look at it as easily...but the gold inside the black leather does look amazing.

Who would ever need to return one or 20 defective Passports?

I doubt that it's actually made in Canada. Likely just laser engraved (and perhaps colored) in Canada. Why would they replicate their entire Mexican fabrication environment in Canada just to make 50 devices? If they did then they should be charging $15,000 for each.

I do have one super minor complaint about the Passport over my Z30. I'm not a gamer but I was just getting into Plants vs. Zombies--Not yet available on Passport! That said, Pac Man is just like it was in the good old days...and the square screen is perfect.
