Just tell them your passport has a built in tip-calculator, that ought to shut them up. I'm assuming that you're an adult since you were at a bachelor party, thus, you made the choice to use a Passport, suck it up and be proud. Or just don't show it in public.
    It's a device not a porno magazine.

@Charlie, from my understanding of your excellent story, John Chen is Rose, and BB10 is Jack (who becomes fish food). The end?

Of course, Rose goes on to have kids called Priv and DTEK50, etc.

What's really interesting is that imho, the iPhone experiment is slowly winding down. I know I will get flak for this but the phone that everyone wanted only because it made you feel good is losing its appeal. Soon the tables will be turned unless apple actually innovates. As it is now samsung, blackberry, Google are innovating. Even microsoft is as well. Apple is behind on laptops, phones, accessories. You name it. Be honest with your self and look at the actual product offerings

I get it all the time with my Q10, mainly because it looks like a vintage BlackBerry. I'm going to get a Passport this week so we'll see how the looks change because the Passport looks like nothing else new or old.

First...Every time I hear someone go totally off the edge over a small handheld mobile device , I have to question their state of mind. If you can't keep your cool over a toy, how will you ever be able to deal with real practical matters... like life, for instance!!

This NEW AGE we're living in called "Digital" is still in it's infancy . Mobile devices are nothing more than very sophisticated toys to use for connecting to social networks so you can share your Photo's, video's, music and to let the world know where you are, where you're going, when you get to where you're going and why you went there in the first place.
And let's not forget the all important games to distract you from doing something that may become useful to you when you grow up. (and of course, I'm just expressing MY opinion
Your rant contains many grammatical and usage errors. Just saying.

Seriously???? Is that the best you can do?
If you had ANY sense of imagination at all... you would have at least tried to blame it on my passport.

I have a new passport and I love this os. The concept of the hub is brilliant yet simple and so smooth. I always liked physical keyboards too. I love the true multitasking function and the great battery life. I can forgive the poor app store because I have an iPad for games. I did use cobalt's solution to get the Google play store but I don't think I will use it much except for kindle reader.

    Posted via CB10
I don't have Cobalt's Google Play Services solution installed on my Passport, and Kindle Reader works ok (though can take up to 30 seconds to load a book and/or synchronise - don't know if this delay if due to having downloaded the Kindle Reader from the Amazon Store).

Absolutely that's what it was. Honestly I wasn't offended. Us Irish are a nation of ballbreakers. It was in the name of good fun and my first post sounded much more serious than I intended. In particular It was one friend who is known to do this sort of thing. Good times.

Anyway I'm secure in my choice. I sold my Z30 and got a white Passport. I'm really loving it. The keyboard Will take a while to get used to but it's a fantastic phone.

I have a Passport and dread the day I might have to give it up. Believe me, I love this phone....
Now, because of my Passport, a few friends have bought a BlackBerry....
Pretty much all of my friends and coworkers have decided it is a cool phone with lots of good compliments about.... the great stereo sound, great looks, great keyboard, great screen, etc....
    Yep, couldn't agree more!

The biggest Passport issue on the horizon for me is the loss of WhatsApp at the end of this year, as this is the IM solution of choice for the majority of my friends and family (some also favour FB Messenger which I don't use at all).

I kinda had the idea that my sentence would be misunderstood. I meant to tell him he shouldn't give a Rat's a** about people's opinions of his phone. I'll edit my post.

Your friends, if they come to be shocked by the Passport, are still right and still your friends. I have one of the first Passports because it was a Must Have. It is weird, rare, awkward, unstable, not handy but it's mine. The Germans are practical people and they call a mobile a handy. The Passport is not handy. It is not a mobile. It is a just a strange funny way to bring a great brand to crash.

Being honest, I find this a little odd - I don't have particularly big hands but find it extremely 'handy' and it fits in my jeans/trouser pockets with no problems, in fact i love the form factor

I've had my passport for nearly a year now and I can honestly hold my hand up and say it's the best phone, bar none, that i've ever had. It's quick, the hub is brilliant, never had any problems with the web, and typing up notes etc is a dream. Haven't carried a tablet since having it. In fact the passports only problem in my eyes is BBRY itself not supporting it's own userbase - but that's down to chairman chen.

    Almost Ditto!

I've had my passport for nearly a year over a year and a half now and I can honestly hold my hand up and say it's the best phone, bar none, that i've ever had. It's quick, the hub is brilliant, never had any problems with the web, and typing up notes etc is a dream. Haven't carried a tablet since having it.

My experience with my Passport is exactly the same as yours (barring, that I've had mine 50%+ longer). Always used to have to have a tablet around when I had my Q10 as the screen wasn't big enough to easily review spreadsheets & dashboards... tablet not needed when you have a Passport in your pocket!

Definitely the best mobile device I have ever owned.

People are different, anyhow strange coworkers were negative and people who like me were positive on the PP...!!!

And the more I do not care what they say, the more positive reactions from newly meeting people are...!!!

WhatsApp and FB are ****y companies if they stop supporting BlackBerry OS 10, but perhaps there are even other companies pushing that decision, behind the show things go on, I'm sure!

I have always tell my friends and clients the same message when they ask me what device should they buy and what I recommend? My answer is always the same. Go to your local Cell phone or electronics store and look at whats available within your budget and will best fit your needs and buy it. It may sound very simple and direct, but thats just how I am.
