10.3.1.2558 is now official and is available from many carriers. Many bug fixes including Freak.

Holey crap. It's fixed in the new OS that has started to be sent out. If you want it fixed and your carrier hasn't released it yet you can do an autoloader or a blitz.

Technically, I have no official update yet. Technically, it isn't actually fixed.

1. 2480 isn't latest. Like you've been told already a fix is out and avail.
2. BlackBerry has fixed it and released it. Blame your carrier now.

You have an option to have the fix. Deal with it.

It really is amazing how easy it is on a BlackBerry to patch your phone and not have to wait for the fix to be pushed to you. That is one thing I love about BlackBerry and this community. Do a bit a reading and use the resources available to you in this forum and administer your own device. No reason to wait for your carrier. The fix is very easy and now available to all.

Plus if you already have 2480, the process to install 2558 is virtually the same. The coreOS, radio and extracted upgraded apps are all provided for you in the first post of that thread. It's just a matter of drag and drop.

10.3.1.2558 has been officially made available by BlackBerry for all devices. It is up to the carriers to now green light.

Apart from Apple and Google Nexus devices, this is the way of the world.

If I'm not mistaken, the carriers have to approve updates before they are available OTA. If BlackBerry has already released the fix with an update and you have not received it, your carrier is to blame.

Noone is ranting except these fools who say it's not fixed. It may not be fixed on your phone but there are options to fix it. F'ing fix it. Plain simple. They released THE fix. What don't these people get?
