Hi, I've come across a uniquely Passport style problem.

I have a web app for connecting to my car and getting diagnostics off it. I can log on to it fine, however when I do it thinks it's in landscape mode and asks my to rotate my phone to see the full website. The landscape mode version does nothing. With any other phone of course I can just flip the phone, but with the passport it remains in "landscape" mode.

Does anyone know of a way I can force the browser into thinking it's in portrait mode?

It's likely detecting the body/window width to height pixel ratio (or just whether one is larger than the other). So the short answer is... no.

But you could try an android browser like chrome and then swipe from the top within the browser, and change the android player display mode to emulate a regular 'rectangular' device.

You could also make an empty html file, with an iframe in the middle that has rectangular height and width properties. But that will only work if the Web app provider allows the content to be displayed inside of an iframe.
