When I set up my passport, the flashlight was called "flashlight ". After transferring over my files/settings from my Q10, it's now called "Torch" which is what it was always called on my Q10. Anyone have any idea why it's gone all British on me?

Go to you language and see if it's English (UK) or English (US)

Yup, that was definitely it. But there's no Canadian option. I guess I'll have to live with "Torch" then.

    Thanks

Yeah it bugs me there's no Canadian English. I pick UK so that colour and honour etc are spelled correctly, but I don't think I've ever heard a Canadian call a flashlight a torch.

As italian, I say "torch". Because "flashlight" is a sexual toy.

Lol, just checked only English UK and English US in the options. Last time I checked there was more than just two countries in the world that had English as their language.

My sentiments exactly...I can live with "Torch" instead of "Flashlight". It's far less annoying then having it constantly telling you that coloUr and laboUr are spelt incorrectly.

Or use the US English and just add to dictionary the Canadian spelling to words...

No accent, just an "eh" at the end of each sentence.

    Don't hate, I'm Canadian.....eh!

This is one of the many things I hate about being Canadian.

One day we'll realize that spelling colour with a u or pronouncing z as zed doesn't make us special.

Well rather than fight over regional spellings let's work on stopping the use of the word loose when people mean lose. At least with color and labor, neither spelling is wrong and it means the same thing. Loose and lose are two different words with different meanings. I'm not working with the grammar police, but that is just annoying.
