So after ordering on launch day, late because I was reading reviews all day and got backordered, I finally got the Passport today...Such a high solute to BlackBerry for thinking out of the box on this device and this is a keeper for me. Maybe I am a fanboy, but I could never really enjoy an iPhone (more suitable would be iBore). Android is just too out there for me and couldn't take the bloat. I wanted to like the Nexus, but after 6 months and having a battery swell and dealing with mediocre specs (why Google?) I just decided BlackBerry is where I want to stay (first being the 9000). I just changed from a Z30 which I adored, but this thing just SCREAMS innovation at it's finest.

Coming from a Z30 and formerly a Q10 owner (fan of keyboards) the first thing that stands out is the width of the device, with that comes screen real estate and I see what BlackBerry was going after. The touch keyboard, who is the Engineer who thought of that? Genious. The adaptive keyboard...I'll admit if you are used to the alt key (which I am) you will have an adjustment coming from a QWERTY device for sure, but I don't see any issue other than getting 'used' to it. Once you are, I strongly believe you will be as productive. I also think that the wider keyboard would not be an issue for 'travel distance', but then again I have large hands being 6'3". This device is at home with me.

The screen resolution pops out at you like crazy coming from a relatively good Z30 screen (minus the brightness). Brightness POPS out at you like the OLED Q10 screen.

Excuse me while I enjoy this day playing with my new 'productive' sidekick....I am now doing a software upgrade out of the box and that is my first impression. Amazing and this is the best new hardware release device IMHO since the first iPhone (which for what they did to the mobile industry can be respected).

I'll post some additional thoughts later on...Cheers and buy it already if you haven't!

I will also be testing my Passport out in a few days after finishing my Midterms >_<. I already ordered a nano SIM which should be arriving within a few days as well. Can't wait to test it out.

The width of the keyboard is a little awkward to hold and type, which will take me a couple to days to get accustomed to. Swiping back and flicking words seems to be natural after a few minutes although it's a physical keyboard.

I love mine as well. Absolutely great job on BBRY for this phone. Also the OS seems very mature now. Basically what it should have been when they first came out with BB10. Very satisfied with my purchase.
