I suspect these order numbers are NOT restricted to Passports, but everything Digital River sells.

However, I do wish they were all for Passports as there are 16,590.300 ahead of my Oct 3rd order. LoL

Despite all the moaning and caterwauling that's gone on here lately, I think 2 weeks is a very reasonable time for blackberry to be able to meet the backorders and get passports shipped. Obviously supplies are still constrained, which is not good, but clearly they are working on it. The real flaw from BB has been their lack of openness, or rather their lack of communication. Hopefully they will learn from these problems and improve in the future. Now if they can just get that pesky amazon app store issue sorted out then the passport will be well positioned to drive blackberry's comeback to relevance.

The lack of openness and communication wasn't the fault of BlackBerry but rather the fault lies with Digital River who were handling the consumer logistics and run Shop BlackBerry. The people I've spoken to at BlackBerry are embarrassed and at a loss at the break down that happened but have focused on getting the backorders filled and shipped. Repercussions will happen later.

So I guess what people were saying is true..BlackBerry gave the 29th as the "worst case" scenario.

So basically BlackBerry will ship all back orders BY the 29th.
