So people have probably seen that I've posted quite a bit about the troubles that I've been having with my camera not focusing...chatting with BlackBerry and they suggested running virtual assistant as a first step. Well, the gyroscope test failed! Would that affect the camera's ability to focus? What other symptoms would there be of a malfunctioning gyroscope?

The built-in compass would probably not be able to "turn" and show the correct animations when turning/rotating the phone.

Yep you're right, I had never used it before but it just spins and spins constantly

What about the focus problem? Would the phone not understanding it's own orientation maybe be to blame?

I don't see how it should be related. Auto focus and gyroscope are IMHO not dependent on each other.

Panorama photos could also suffer from it (up/down)
