I don't believe there has been any material change in sales volumes in January. Once ATT releases it there might be a nice bump

I think a lot of people are going to wait for the AT&T model because it has a more universally appealing design.

I could not wait any longer since I was having some strange issues with my HTC One M8, I would have held out for AT&T's version, but I was able to get it on Amazon from a seller brand new without tax for $568, much better than $650 + tax for AT&T's version.

It's also a month and change after the holidays, so people are having some more spending money as well as getting tax returns to pay for new toys like the Passport.

People don't realize how minuscule the sales of passport have actually been. It would be hard for Classic not to outsell it.

I went round the chippy and one of the guys there was reading a text from an Asda 10 quid special and I said " you want one of these bad boys" to which he casually replied "yeah, these two have those" while gesturing to his colleagues. I said "are you sure?" and lo and behold, two more passports were produced for my perusal. I felt immediately deflated and elated at the same time (kind of like watching your mother in law drive your brand new Mercedes straight off a cliff) good to find more passport wielders but not feeling unique anymore.

It would be nice if true -- I myself just grabbed one finally (delivery Monday I hope!)... but we have to remember, this site represents a relatively small piece of the pie... even if traffic did double in the passport forum, I doubt it would make enough of a difference to register on BB's sales metrics. Again, I'll be thrilled if Chen advises to the contrary at the next quarterly report... I just ain't holding my breath.

I feel most folk are waiting for the AT&T variant. Personally I don't like it so I bought mine straight up from blackberry with no regrets!

That would be nice if it was true. Small consultation after news of Apple's last quarter. I was out for dinner with a friend who works for 3M Canada and he has turn in his Q10 for an iPhone. He is not happy. He was hoping to upgrade to a Passport.

Apple's distribution channel is way bigger than what BlackBerry or any other smartphone manufacturers have, and pretty much impossible to copy from.
