Had my Passport charging on my desk and accidentally pulled the charging wire with my arm.

It dropped straight down and hit the metal foot of the desk from about 3 feet. Apparently hit the sharp corner of the foot as there is a pointed indentation on my hardshell. It's first battle scar!

It's quite the relief to see the dig on the hardshell rather than anywhere on my precious Passport. The hardshell case just paid for itself.

    The Passport rocks.

This certainly helps justify the decision to use the case instead of going without it, no matter how much I want to...

this makes me want to purchase a hardshell case even more, however, it's currently out-of-stock at shopcrackberry.

How's the case in terms of weight? Does it make the phone even more bulky?

The case is very slim and low profile. I love it because it has a nice textured feel that complements the Passport very well. You will forget it's on. I highly recommend it!

Sorry to hear about the case.
But that is what it was put on for right?
3 feet and a metal footing? Wow.

I don't know why anybody would go without a case on the passport. I find it is perfectly designed and actually gives you a better grip on the phone.

Just ordered this case since I'm tired of wiping the oily residue on the back. My Lumia 1520 had the same issue with the matte finish. I am looking forward to the case!

Good move, you are going to enjoy having the hardshell case on your Passport. I will order a white hardshell during the CrackBerry US Thanksgiving sale in a few weeks.

Bought one of these last night as I've already dropped my Passport the other week. Got some scratches on the top left hand on the silver bezel, a small chip just where the screen meets the casing and back cover which lifts has a few marks on them.

So not going to take any chances as I'll probably drop it again lol

Yep I know what you mean... I dropped my 9900 and Z10 at least once a week. Those phones took a licking and kept on ticking. I think the Passport will too! The Passport is a tank however with a larger/wider screen the risk of a cracked screen definitely is higher.
