    Use the mobile site m.uber.com.

Otherwise, if you insist on using the app, you will need to first install all of Cobalt's apps to get Google Play Services running, and then patch the Uber app to work with it.

You'll need to contact Uber to activate your account for the mobile site.

Curious, I didn't need to install *all* of Cobalt's services. I installed only the Cobalt's Google Play Services. Patched Uber works fine.

OP, you might also consider Ober. It's some kind of wrapper for Uber. You first have to install Beta Zone from Blackberry World and then install Ober from Beta Zone.

The downside of going the Uber-apk patching route (although this is how I actually do it because I don't mind), is that when Uber releases an updated apk, your installed Uber won't work anymore. Uber forces you to update the apk. You'll need to get, patch, and install the updated apk before you can use Uber again. Not the most convenient way when you are trying to catch a cab.

Cobalt? Wrappers? This is so confusing for me. How does one learn about these things?

I run m.uber just fine but is there a way to run the latest Android dating apps on my passport if they require Google Play?

    See link from post#2 above.

BlackBerry does not support Google Play Services. Hence the Priv.

There is a workaround however. Cobalt has provided a way to get it working. In addition to installing his modified apps, you need to patch any app that requires those services.

Not true. I have never contacted Uber and have my account access through the mobile site.

Your case mush have been different than mine. I had to contact them to be able to use the mobile site, but at least they responded very quickly to inform me that I'm activated now to use the mobile site.
