Release after release, I read users complaining about double typing issues. It never happened to me. I was happy to read when a release cured everyone's double typing issue.

But now I have it!!! And it's driving me crazy! I'll press 'c" and get two or three of them in a row. Happens with other letters too.

How do I get rid of it??

Same here. It wasn't present in the previous build but it's making me go crazy!!!

I had double typing issue with this latest build, never before for any other builds. Not sure what the solution is, till then went back to 2789 and the issue is no more.

I just get triple typing if I'm typing a word with double letters sometimes. I'd have thought the autocorrect could correct it but it doesn't. It's occasional though.

Yes me too specially with a and c. At first it was not present after the update to. 2876 and experiencing it for the past 3 weeks now. It's quite annoying...

I updated to 2876 again after knowing android runtime got fixed. And started having double typing issue again, mostly for B and M. Not sure what the fix is now.

Happens to me sometimes but only when entering information into webpages. It's bizarre and was driving me nuts today. I hope a fix comes soon

The last few OSes seemed to fix the issue by adjusting the timing algorithm. Many were complaining that they went too far, and keys that were purposely pressed twice did not register.

With OS2876, I believe they backed off the adjustments a bit.

Clearly it's a balancing act. If it's a real problem, you can load OS2813 again.

They should just place a settings on the speed of the double tapped keys. That way, user can change it to their preference. The setting would be similar to Windows mouse double click settings where user could set how fast the double click is recognized.

Letter B is the worst affected, so much so I'm seldom able to invoke the Browser and rather end up with the Assistant looking for triple or even quadruple B. Quite often, b is not even picked up... quite random, quite intermittent, but double typing is back....

B,m,c,y are double typing sometimes. Did not have the issue till the last os update. No other keys... hope for an update soon (or a marshmallow on priv, then likely I'll switch)

I agree. There's something wrong with the software, I would be typing "I am going to" and then all of a sudden I get "I am going going." It's a hardware + software problem.

Can I really go back to 2813 and this problem will stop?

Yes you can as long as you have a full backup of 2813. Use an Autoloader of 2813 and then restore your last backup.

I've done this in the past. Works every time I have to go back for any reasons.

This why a full backup before any update is crucial!!!

By the way, used my Passport OG to type this and absolutely no issues!

Thank you. I have the 2813 and will try to load this to my Q10. Hope this problem will perish. I love my Passport, but the Q10 is the one I take on the road. Being small and all.

I'm SADLY gonna have to box it and use only the Passport as the daily driver.
Next, I'm gonna buy a Z3 just for the fast and amazingly accurate VKB typing it provides for my writing and translation works. I have experienced this on the Playbook (shockingly so), but it's so heavy to be used to write for a long period of time in portrait mode.

Not that I don't have a laptop. I do, but typing on the phone as fast as the streaming of words in my mind is SO ADDICTIVE. It also helps for my back that I can type standing up or leaning to a wall (too much sitting for too long is BAD, I'm telling you).

Anyway, Tsk!

If you still have it on 2813, then your keyboard is in a bad way.

Have you considered replacing the keyboard? They are cheap and easy to do yourself. Many videos on YouTube will show you how.
