Recently got this passport, installed the latest OS thru carrier pushing. Now it seems as long as your using it. That conner will be HOT. But I didn't saw any post here is about that. Any solution?

    Posted via CB10

Addition: people says it's becoz those android app. But as one of the poster says. Sometimes even just checking email it will be hot, and another poster says it got hot when he using browser watching video. And some of the users they totally don't have this problem at all. But I don't believe if there have any single BlackBerry user who is not running a android app on those BlackBerry device. Skype, viber, wechat, all android version. Then I guess problem still on OS. I will reflash the OS for try.

    ------------update below

I'm done with updating to 10.3.2.500
Temperature control get better. Not that HOT anymore. I really believing it's duo to OS problem. So, now I think I got no problem at all.
Attachment 352052. I don't know just like this kind of using, before is very hot. Now,just warm.

From my experience, top right corner of your Passport gets warmer due to PIM services in process. This usually happens when you just loaded a new SIM card and phone starts setting up all the fresh contacts. The heat should go away within few minutes.

EDIT: And of course, some Android services/apps you may be having..

Yeah, it IS hot when used for things related to WiFi and/or online related processes, especially games. Beyond that--i.e. for offline apps and processes, it's cool. Doesn't make PP any slower, though.

Mine was is getting hot without the update. Only since last night I have this issue.
At first I thought inst10 is causing this so I uninstalled the app but it still heating up. Even when I'm not running any app.

And yeah another thing, the battery go low so fast. Last night it went from 50% to like under 20% in no time, less than half an hour.
And now it went from 98 to 85 just while typing this.

I have not experienced this yet but I have certainly read about it. Then again I don't play any games or use any graphics heavy apps.

It gets hot because that is the area where the processor is.
The whole phone is a heatsink, especially the metal frame I assume

This thing has been mentioned quite a few times already.
Try a long call and accidentally touch your ear with that corner. Quite a sensation.

I used to have this heat thing as well. Every single time I restart the phone or long use. I did a full reload on os and did not restore the back up. This heat thing is gone. The heat is much much milder. If you have enough time, maybe you could try it as well

Maybe future models could reserve some space for a custom thin heatpipe, to help distribute heat faster. It might even be possible to make it part of the antenna.. :9

This happened to me with one I had. The top corner got REALLY hot...And just sitting there with no apps installed or running yet. So used an autoloader to update it to 10.3.1.2576 and it went away. Sometimes it gets a little warm (with heavy android use), but nowhere near like it was.
