...the device is just so gorgeous I hate hiding a mm of it. Also, the grip is great so I don't feel as afraid of dropping it like the OG. No screen protector available yet is a bit worrying but I'm thinking of taking a chance an going naked with this one. Maybe just use the leather flex on weekends. Decisions, decisions.

Im on the same page, been waiting for a screen protector to take off the leather flip case the phone came with. The phones too beautiful for a case and it feels much better in the hands without one.

Then just exercise extra care then and you will be fine. When I had my black Passport, I always kept it in a hoodie or shirt pocket. Putting it in a pants pocket is a guarantee that you'll pickup hairline scratches on the screen.

In terms of handling the phone, don't be afraid to grip it tighter than usual and don't be fussy about fingerprints on the screen. You can always wipe the phone down later, but if you drop it due to a light, dainty grip, you won't be able to wipe away the dented bezels or broken glass. I just got a red Passport after being on the Z30 for a while. I'll be doing the exact same thing as before. Au naturel.

The leather flex case makes it more slippery in my hands and therefore more dangerous albeit at least there is a case on it if it drops. The flex is really nice though.

Yes I think I'm going to just rely on insurance on this one. As I said, maybe the flex on the weekends. I also have the OEM holster that fits the SE way better than the OG.

I agree with op. Want to use naked but don't trust myself with the screen. This feels so much better than the white and black.

Putting either of the cases on doesn't really afford you much protection if you ever plan on taking either of the cases off. Here is what taking the case off did to my SE

How does that happen with taking the case off? Makes me not want to even put a case on.

Honestly, I felt like I was gonna bend the device taking it out of the case.

I don't see how you damaged the device. You simply peel the left or right top corner and then the other top corner and lift th device straight up and out of the two bottom corners. There isn't any twisting that could possibly happen much less put a divet in the bottom corner. The cases are tight but work perfectly.

I never used a case in any of my BlackBerry's. Aside from specs, we decided on the phone based on the design. It seems a bit odd to cover up the design when it was a deciding factor of your purchase.

However, I did buy the Seidio case for my AT&T version. I figured it's the first time that I'll be handling a phone with its proportions. I used the case for maybe 1 week and now I'm back to my ways of not having a case. Overall, feels so much better without the case and looks 100 times better.

Maybe my eyes are deceiving, but the bezel below the 'N' and 'M' keys looks bent right down the middle.
