Does it only have one or two speakers? If two how do you compare it to the z30 or say an HTC one?

Both speakers are on the bottom. The sound? Better than my Z30, and can go much louder -- without distortion. To my untrained ear, it seems like the channels are separated, left/right. I haven't played with the equalizer much yet though.

I would say even now, the playbook has the loudest speakers out of any tablet or smartphone (maybe kindle fire might be better but never had one) how would you compare it to a playbook if you have one or had one

Yes three speakers, there are two ports on bottom of phone and another on top in the center

Excellent sound quality and volume, better than Z30 which is saying something

Yes, technichally 3 speakers. But when listening to music, video or using the phone on speaker, the "earpiece" speaker is inactive. The OP referred to the dual speakers on the Z30, so that's what we were comparing.

My Playbook is out on loan right now, and it's been a couple of weeks since I've listened to music on it. But I think the Playbook may have been a bit louder, but the Passporthas better sound quality.
