Have anyone using passport come across the phone getting hot when playing games or any other scenario reminiscent of z10 issue where the phone gets extreme heat from the board due various reasons.

Not exactly hot, but quite warm, especially the right side when charging. It gets less warm than the Note 3 I'm leaving though.

Z10 was overheated because of bugs on the OS 10.0
After upgrading to 10.1 there wasn't ever such issue.

I wouldn't say it's "an issue" in the z10. It just heats up due to extreme game usage. It happened to me, nothing alarming. You are pushing the phone so it will heat up due to that.

My z10 is regularly 39c when In use
Pre 10.3 it used to get as high as 43 with regular use and 45 while playing games

This heat stuff no matter emanating from playing games or from bugs in OS is detrimental to the longevity of the hardware. So only I am curious to know whether BlackBerry has sorted out this problem in passport.

It gets warm, just like any device does from peek usage, games / charging, whenever a higher flow of current is running, just like any electronic device. The phone doesn't get warm like the Z10 though, it's almost equal to the heat transferred from a warm hand

Passport, it's the optimal viewing experience.

That's dangerous temperatures for your phone for to run regularly. Mine spikes to high 30's.
